About Me

I'm an Indo-Canadian multimedia journalist, editor, researcher, & educator based in Vancouver, B.C. I was born & raised in Abbotsford, B.C., on the lands of the Sumas & Matsqui First Nations, & I come from a long lineage of farmers.

My work can found in publications such as CBC, Grist, The Georgia Straight, Popular Science, & more. I have a wide range of reporting interests that include social & environmental issues, breaking news, arts & culture, & sports. I prefer to work through a solutions lens.

I graduated from Concordia University's Digital Innovation in Journalism Studies MA program with distinction. I also graduated from Simon Fraser University with distinction, majoring in Communication with an extended minor in Geography.

I'm a member of the Uproot Project, a network of journalists of colour who cover the environment. I am also a part of Science Writers & Communicators of Canada & the Canadian Freelance Guild.

I'm currently a 2024 Fellow of the Aspen Institute's Future Leaders Climate Initiative.
